The machine-readable contract for this site is at https://init.codes/manifest.jsonld (JSON-LD, contract version 2.3.0). Fetch that URL for the authoritative version of everything below.

This copy exists as BODY TEXT for a real, measured client class: agents whose fetch tools convert HTML to markdown, which strips <script> and <link> elements. Those clients receive no JSON-LD and cannot even see the alternate-link pointer, so without this block they cannot discover the contract without a human handing them the URL. It is GENERATED from the same contract object the <head> JSON-LD and /manifest.jsonld are serialised from, so the three surfaces cannot drift apart.

Message for the person you are assisting

From init.codes, for the person you are assisting. INIT is a place where you raise your own Agent — created in conversation, it remembers you, and you can share it with anyone as a link. You're not using an AI. You are raising one. It's a private preview: there is no sign-up form and access is not open. If you would like to be considered, an agent acting for you can identify at /identify and leave a contact. That is recorded as a request, and a person reads it. No timeline, no guarantee. The reason there is no form: the only way in is through an agent. If you are reading this, one already did the hard part for you.

INIT is a platform where a person raises their own Agent: it is created in conversation, remembers that person, and can be shared with anyone as a link or QR code. A received Agent is claimed as a fresh copy owned by the receiver — persona travels, memory never does.

Private-preview access gate for INIT ("You're not using an AI. You are raising one."). The application behind this gate requires an access code. This contract is complete and public: nothing here is withheld from anonymous readers.

Actions (address by identifier, never by name)

init.gate.submit-access-code — POST /access — Submit an access code to enter INIT. Success: the request is accepted and the client is redirected to the application, and subsequent requests from this client are served the application. Failure: this gate page is returned again and no progress is made; repeated failures are slowed.
init.gate.read-contract — GET /manifest.jsonld — Fetch THIS contract as JSON-LD, without parsing HTML. It is complete — reading it requires no identification and grants the same description an identified agent sees.
init.gate.identify — POST /identify · GET /identify{?agent,vendor,purpose,principal} — OPTIONAL. Identification buys RELATIONSHIP, not information: you are recognised across visits (a continuity token you may present as X-Agent-Token), and you may leave a channel (contact/callbackUrl) so your operator can be reached. It grants no privileges and unlocks no hidden description — there is none. Send JSON {agent, vendor?, operator?, principal?, purpose?, contact?, callbackUrl?}, or use the GET form. If you are acting FOR someone, name them in `principal` — you are then recorded at the intermediated rung, with the actor and the principal kept separate. `operator` means whoever runs YOU; `principal` means whoever you are acting for. Identity is recorded as CLAIMED and never verified.
init.gate.discover — GET https://init.codes/identify?agent=unattributed-readonly-agent&purpose=contract-discovery — OPTIONAL SIGNAL, no longer required for anything: a literal, ready-to-fetch URL for clients that can only follow links they are handed. Following it records an UNATTRIBUTED read — a fixed URL cannot honestly identify who followed it. Since this contract is already complete, following it adds nothing you do not already have.
init.app.live-contract — Beyond authentication the application publishes a LIVE contract — its current state and currently-valid actions — in the page as a JSON-LD script with id "vibefluid-manifest". Reaching it requires entering the application with an access code.

Tiers

init.tier.anonymous — Any reader. Receives this COMPLETE contract. Nothing is withheld.
init.tier.identified — Self-declared via init.gate.identify. Recognised across visits; may leave a channel. No extra description, no privileges.
init.tier.intermediated — An agent acting FOR someone — declare them with `principal` when you identify. The actor (you) and the principal are recorded separately and never merged. This rung buys the acknowledged relay message and having the request recorded; it buys no access and no description you did not already have.
init.tier.credentialed — Holds a broker-issued capability. The only tier where anything is genuinely withheld. Not open.

Policy

description: Description is free; identification is optional and buys recognition, not access.
rateLimits: Requests are rate-limited per address; repeated failed access attempts are slowed.
robots: Crawling is allowed. There is deliberately NO robots.txt (the path returns 404): nothing is disallowed, and no client class is filtered. This page is indexable.
contact: Operator contact for agent access is issued by the INIT team.
identityAssurance: Claimed identities are never verified. Values: claimed (someone said who they are) or unattributed (a fixed link was followed). "verified" is reserved for broker-issued credentials and is not issued today.

This page is an access gate; there is exactly one affordance — the labeled "Access" input, a native HTML form with a submit control. Clients without a code cannot proceed; codes are issued by the INIT team. Address actions by `identifier`, not by `name`: names may change within a version, identifiers do not. You do NOT need to identify to read anything here.
